Kate Moss to cover Playboy
Kate Moss' hairstylist has reportedly confirmed she has posed for Playboy.
In March, there was speculation the iconic British model was preparing to shoot the cover of the adult publication to celebrate its 60th anniversary. There was talk of a leaked memo about the plan, although it was never confirmed by Kate or the publication.
Refinery29 now claims to have spoken to Kate's hairdresser, Oribe, about the shoot.
"While chit-chatting with Kate Moss' superstar hairstylist backstage at his La Fama hair show on Sunday, Oribe himself confirmed that a Playboy cover with the supermodel is really happening," the site reports.
Refinery29 claims Oribe is an iron-clad source as he was the person who looked after Kate's hair as the racy images were taken.
The cover is expected to hit magazine racks in January. At the moment there is no word on how much the 39-year-old model decided to bare in the images.
It's thought the shoot took place in March, with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott lensing the spread in London. According to the original memo, fashion magazine W's Alex White styled the images.
Kate is no stranger to flashing her flesh, having appeared in risqué photoshoots for V magazine in the past. During Paris Fashion Week earlier this year she wore a transparent jumpsuit to a party, with her butt clearly visible.
When the model first started out in the industry as a teenager, she was less proud of her body. Last year she spoke to Vanity Fair about her iconic shoot with Corinne Day, where she bared her breasts.
"I hated my boobs more than anything as a teenager. I'd do anything not to take my top off. But they were like, 'If you don't do it, then we're not going to book you again,'" she recalled.
"So I'd lock myself in the toilet and cry and then come out and do it. I never felt very comfortable about it... That picture of me running down the beach - I'll never forget doing that, because I made the hairdresser, who was the only man on the shoot, turn his back."
