Quinoa is a particularly well-dressed child who enjoys haute couture, meditation and all things chevron. She and her little English friend Jasper have been raising a pair of turtle doves to release upon the birth of the royal baby.
Recently Quinoa put together a humanitarian mission to give Haitian orphans much-needed makeovers.
Quinoa doesn't exist of course, so someone had to invent her. Blogger Tiffany from The Would-Be Writers Guild chronicles Quinoa's adventures on her Pinterest board 'My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter' (MIWDTD). Forget smug photos of paleo lunches, this is the best board on the inspirational image-sharing website.
Utilising images of hipster children from upmarket advertisements and fashion magazines, Tiffany has curated a gallery of painfully stylish tots in sometimes ridiculous attire. But the captions are where the magic really happens.
Below a picture of a girl in winter gear, staring in to the distance, Tiffany writes, "When I asked Quinoa what was on the horizon, she stared at it and said, 'Chambray'."
"When out in public with Quinoa, I can hear the sound of hipster ovaries swelling with want," another captions reads.
Many mothers say that one of the reasons they'd love a girl is so they can dress her up in all sorts of cute outfits. Tiffany is a mother to two real boys, and she says little Quinoa "is the kind of imaginary daughter every mother dreams of".
Pinterest exists as a place to pin our longings; for the impossibly chic interiors we'll never recreate, wedding dresses we wish we'd worn, summer sangria for that amazing BBQ we'll throw one day. MIWDTD may illustrate the longing we have for a flawless family life, but it also ridicules the kind of society that dresses toddlers as mini-adults in $70 metallic jacquard pants.
Like Quinoa's kindred spirit Suri Cruise of Suri's Burn Book tumblr fame, we can see a book deal on the horizon.
