Best & worst dressed: June 20
THE GOOD: Taylor Swift's red carpet style normally has me hitting the snooze button, but this Emilio Pucci gown is, I think, her best look in, well, ever. The gorgeously-lined turquoise eyes freshen up the whole ensemble - and while it is quite bridal, this dress is just plain pretty and it looks like it was made for 5'10" Swifty.

THE GOOD: This falls into the only-on-her category, yes it's mighty, mighty short (as in, you couldn't actually sit in it short), but to say that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks anything but amazing in this Emilio Pucci MINI (caps needed as it's a super-mini) would be a lie. Her fresh, not-too-done hair and makeup and her Barbie-like pins serve this dress well. Check her and Jase Stath' having a cheekbone off to the right - do you think this couple sometimes just stands in front of a mirror together and stares - like for hours? I do.

THE GOOD: I'm loving that 5'2" Kylie Minogue is rocking a micro-mini just as well as Rosie 'Legs Forever' H-W this week. This Anthony Vacarello dress would be a bit short for something like the White House Correspondents Dinner, yes, but Kyles is at a nightclub party, so I think it's appropriate. Also, the fact that it has a high neck and quite simple top half means it's sassy rather than tacky. (I'd just have gone for any-colour-other-than-black-accessories.)

THE GOOD: I may have mentioned before that I have a near allergic reaction to formal hats and anything resembling a fascinator (they make me feel very uncomfortable), but Katherine Jenkins is at Royal Ascot, and as far as fascinators go this foot-high Philip Treacy creation is pretty dang-fabulous. The classic English event was awash with pastels, so I'm also glad the Welsh singer brought the colour with this bright orange Roksanda Ilincic gown - this will be a controversial one, yes, but I think she looks fabulous.

THE BEST: I wouldn't change a thing about this Georges Hobeika look on Scandal star Darby Stanchfield (doesn't she have the best period-novel in Savannah name you've ever heard? Actually, I lie, it could do with another barrel or two. Maybe Darby-Eloise Stanchfield-Devereux). Her hair's gorgeous, and the scoop neck and slight train mean the weighty metallic gown falls perfectly. Win.

THE GOOD: Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr's Kaufmanfranco crystal-tastic shift is a perfect mix of Sixties style with very current embellishments. Although, this would have gone from an 8/10 to a perfect 10 if her shoes were maybe a patent peach or something equally slick and poppy.
Best & worst dressed: June 20
THE GOOD: This Mary Katrantzou look was criticised by many for covering too much skin - people said Solange needed to either up the hemline or show some chest. But you know what? The prints are bold, the Sophia Webster shoes just gorgeous and I'm glad to see a star putting her sense of style before the currency of showing off a lot of skin. I've got your back Solan-Jay.

THE BAD: Sometimes when worst dressed of the week is looking a bit thin I just search for certain people, the lovely Katie Price is top of my safely-will-be-bad list. She obviously come to her own book launch as George Hamilton in Marie Antoinette drag. It's meta, I like it.
Best & worst dressed: June 20
THE BAD: Are those lace contraptions on Gwyneth Paltrow's Prabal Gurung many-hundreds-of-dollars blouse some sort of fancy sweat catcher? Goopy, I know a far cheaper way of dealing with a touch of perspiration - it begins with a Mitch and ends with an Um. While this isn't bad-bad-bad, it's essentially an outfit that probably cost more than my month's rent and yet looks like something made by a less-than-talented student in Home Ec. "Oh crap, I forgot to sew the white polyester onto the halter." "Don't worry Beryl, just chuck some gold thumb tacks on that sucker and you're done."
Best & worst dressed: June 20
THE BAD: I'm still scarred - and worried for tweens - after seeing Miley Cyrus' cray-cray new music video (STOP TWERKING GIRLFRIEND) and this pleather jacket, leather bra, sweatpants-jeans combo isn't helping my Cyrus fatigue. What's happened Miles? Ah well, we'll always have The Climb.
Best & worst dressed: June 20
THE BAD: Sallie Axl, UK Big Brother contestant, and former 'girlfriend' (we use that term loosely - more 'fling-friend') of TOWIE's Tom Pearce chose this subtle ensemble as her outfit to wear as she entered the house - others went for cocktail dresses, etc. Some things you can't unsee.
Best & worst dressed: June 20
THE BAD: My first thought when I saw this ill-advised look on Eva Longoria was KARDASHIAN KOLLECTION. But no, this badly-fitting ONE-PIECE is by Pamela Rolland. On the runway the pants were cigarette-style and at the ankle, and the mock peplum was at belly-button length - so this may just be an alteration away from not looking like long johns and a back brace.

WILD CARD: Yes, Rita Ora's Natalia Kaut dress is effectively a baroque shower curtain, but I actually kind of like it. It's fully see-through in parts (so thank goodness for those artfully-placed red patches) but somehow, maybe due to more-classic-hair-and-makeup-than-she-of-usually-straw-like-tresses-has-ever-sported, she looks kind of elegant.

Rosie sizzles, Gwyneth fizzles, Miley bemuses while Jordan just amuses: it's the highs and lows of A-list fashion.

We haven't touched upon JLo, Uma and co's looks at the Amfar Gala, as that's all covered here.
