Five months shy of her 70th birthday, American model Lauren Hutton has proved she is still a force to be reckoned with by landing a new advertising campaign with jean label Lucky Brand.
Few women can pull off skinny jeans and a bomber jacket at that age, but Hutton manages to look just as good as she did at the height of her career.
She appears in a solo photo for the brand in double denim and a leather jacket, as well as holding her own alongside seven blue jean-wearing youngsters in another shot.
Hutton, who was discovered by legendary Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, went on to become one of the most widely-recognised models in the '60s and '70s.
But it seems like her ‘moment’ is far from over.
Net-A-Porter recently featured Hutton in their online magazine, The Edit, and Town & Country made Hutton their June/July 2013 cover girl using a never before seen vintage image from 1968.
In 2007, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen coaxed the American icon out of retirement to feature in the lookbook for their high-end label, The Row.
The joint venture proved highly successful, with the Olsens winning Womenswear Designer of the year at the Council of Fashion Designers of America - which is basically like taking out best director at the Oscars. No mean feat.
Hutton has since become ‘the face’ of The Row, a move that both separated the designers from their competition, and also brought about the rebirth of Hutton’s modelling career.
With this new ad campaign under her belt, it doesn't look like Hutton is going anywhere anytime soon.
Who said aging isn't beautiful?
I certainly hope I look that way on the eve of my 70th birthday, that’s for sure.
