Best & worst dressed: June 28
THE BAD: It's been a great week for Real Housewife Brandi Glanville - some TV host in the States called her "far from a lady" and shared with the world the fact he caught HPV from the star (that makes you far from a gent, bozo): but that still doesn't excuse this "should-probably-not-be-worn-by-anyone-over-19" dress and these frightening Gladiator snakeskins (it's the many tiny bows that push me over the edge).

THE BAD: Doesn't it-artist Daphne Guinness (yes, she's heir to the brown stuff) just look like she's having SO much fun at the Serpentine Gallery party in London? Not.com. The dress is L'Wren Scott, but it's not the dress that's the problem. There's a fine line between gothic-chic and gormless-corpse when it comes to hair, makeup and accessories. Could someone please make crazy neck cuffs a thing, soon? I'm just so sick of having full range of neck motion.

THE BAD: Model Jacquetta Wheeler sports an Alice by Temperley lace jumpsuit: Can we all just agree to eliminate super-tight, harsh-black lace mid-calf length pantsuits from existence?

THE BAD: Anyone with as-unhealthy an obsession as mine with makeover shows of any kind will recognise Paige Hemmis as the lovely, bubbly carpenter from Extreme Home Makeover (that show literally gets me every time: and by gets me, I mean has me snotty crying). Now Paige's outfit needs an extreme makeover: she's rocking a mullet cardigan of the highest order, trousers that look like part of an early D-Child matchy-costume and incredibly intricate boob chains.

THE WORST: Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland have replaced L.A. Reid and Britney Spears on US X Factor (Daniel Bedingfield was busy, obvs). Now who's Paulina, you may be asking? She's basically the Mexican Beyonce - she's HUGE in the Spanish-speaking mundo, but ay papi, this dress-equivalent of a scrunchie is un disastre. Oh, and leather MJ gloves? A natural decision in the middle of a sweltering LA summer.

THE GOOD: Gorgeous Star Trek star Alice Eve is wearing pretty much the perfect summer London party outfit: the L'Wren Scott dress is just bling enough and the light check gives it a very English feel.

THE GOOD: Oh Allison Janney, how much I love thee. On the left she's all summery and chic, and on the right she's sleek and elegant in black (albeit a little over-St Tropez-ed). Oh wow, staring at these photos has made me really miss CJ Cregg. Oh, BT-dubs, Janns is 53 - j'amaze.

THE GOOD: Tennis star Anne Keothanvong bucked the mini-dress trend at the Pre-Wimbledon party with this punchy Antonio Berardi gown - and while it definitely looked better in motion than in pictures, I'm loving it. It's bold, fresh and still sporty.

THE BEST: There were a lot of haters of this look out there: people said it wasn't daytime event appropriate. True. (But this is the ultimate diva JLo, folks, and she is receiving her Hollywood star, so it's kind of her moment). And people also complained that it was creased - that is also true, but she was rolling around on the floor with her twins, etc, so I think that can be forgiven. But you ain't nobody till you've got some haters right J? And I actually freaking love it - I ADORE this hairstyle on La Lopez and I think she looks timeless and elegant. (Side note: My brain can still not compute her and Casper.)

THE GOOD: In-between all the time she spent throwing serious shade at Serena, Maria Sharapova managed to also look straight-up fabulous while at Wimbledon. To the left she's sleek in Burberry, and to the right she's fresh and girly in Chloe (the latter's winning for me, just).

THE GOOD: Her 'hair's' a little on the flammable-looking side of shiny, but there's no denying Naomi Campbell looks beyond beautiful in this David Koma dress - I love the interesting leather (or rubber?) details, and she's also totally working those Alaia heeled booties. Pro.

THE I'M JUST NOT SURE: Alright fine folks, I need your help. To the right, I'm pretty certain Maggie Gyllenhaal looks fabulously chic in a feather-bottom dress by Dries Van Noten. But, to the left? Is this Dior knit-detail dress effectively a very expensive tea cosy? Or does she pull it off because she's so fabulous? One thing's for sure, the very exacting method of me putting a finger over my computer where the midriff ruffles are improves this dress by about 7,000 per cent.

Tennis stars ace it, JLo dazzles and all the leggy models? Well they're a mixed bag this week.
