The world's best paid supermodels
No. 10: Lara Stone with NZ $4 million - The Dutch-born blonde, who is married to comedian David Walliams, was discovered on the Paris Metro at 14. Now 29, the model's earnings took a small dip this year as she welcomed a son in May, although an extensive deal with CK jeans keeps her in the top 10.
No. 9: Candice Swanepoel with NZ $4.1 million - The blonde South African was discovered at 15 and is one of the most prolific Victoria's Secret angels when it comes to lingerie-clad appearances and sultry Instagram selfies.
No. 8: Joan Smalls with NZ $4.5 million - Puerto Rican Forbes list newcomer is Estee Lauder's first Latina ambassador and the most regular high-fashion runway model on this list. Her career began in 2010 when Givenchy picked her to walk for them, and it's only going up.
No. 7: Carolyn Murphy with NZ $4.6 million - The 38-year-old Florida native has wowed the modelling world with her classic All-American looks and consistent professionalism since she was 17: she has lucrative deals with Estee Lauder, Tom Ford (pictured) and Coach to name a few.
No. 6: Hilary Rhoda with NZ $5 million - The 26-year-old is in her seventh year with Estee Lauder, and she's still a regular on the runway for brands like Ralph Lauren and Victoria's Secret.
No. 5: Liu Wen with NZ $5.3 million - The 25-year-old is China's first real international supermodel, and was the first Chinese model to walk for Victoria's Secret. She has deals with brands like Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein and H&M, but her stocks are set to soar as her country's exploding fashion market is expected to triple in size by 2020.
No. 4: Kate Moss with NZ $7.1 million - The 39-year-old has bucked the trend of a model's earnings going down as they near 40 thanks to people's continued interest in her as a personality and her lucrative St Tropez (pictured), Rimmel, Versace and Vogue eyewear contracts. She's also likely to be making a mint out of her soon-to-hit-shelves Playboy cover.
No. 3: Adriana Lima with NZ $7.5 million - She's the longest running Victoria's Secret angel, having worked with the brand for 13 years - and so most of the devout-catholic Brazilian mum's earnings are down to a pretty sweet contract with the lacy brand.
No. 2: Miranda Kerr with NZ $9 million - While she's a long way off from number one, the Aussie's bank-ability soared this year - in part due to the fresh success of her 2009 beauty brand Kora - but mostly due to endorsement deals with Qantas, and particularly a flurry of deals with brands in Asia.
No. 1: Gisele Bundchen with NZ $52 million - The 32-year-old supermodel is at the top for the seventh year in a row. The true businesswoman recently replaced Beyonce as the face of H&M (cha ching!) and beat out Rihanna for a Chanel deal. Oh, and she also became a new mum. Her biggest moneymaker, however, remains her lingerie and accessories lines and her globally-hyped Ipanema flip-flops - and they're why she's double digits ahead of the rest.
