The week's best & worst dressed

Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE BAD: When I was a hormonally messed-up tween I cut out all of the crotches from my spandex leggings and made shrugs out of them - I think Candice Swanepoel may have raided my erstwhile wardrobe (I'm seeing more and more dresses with armpit holes and I'm petitioning for them to be abolished). Other thoughts ... I think that clutch is saving some of the South African's dignity... and, can that even be called a neckline considering the action is nowhere near her neck?

THE BAD: The Victoria's Secret Angels were particularly disastrous at their runway show's 'after party' - here are some of the worst. We start with Dutch model Doutzen Kroes who it is almost impossible to make look bad - but I'd say this pleather biker-meets-Martha-Stewart jacket and the laced-up goth-Bavarian Sevens-costume dress are doing just that.
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE BAD: And here's Victoria's Secret model Martha Hunt looking very 'Carrie Diaries: The Streetwalker Edition'. (Also, either she's straight out of the shower or girlfriend needs to invest in some Batiste ... or just have a wash.)
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE BAD: Ever since I was little I've had an irrational fear/dislike of barnacles ... I'm sure they serve some important biological function blah-blah-blah, but they just look so gross. Hayley Atwell's Julien Macdonald dress is giving me unwanted-foreign-objects-growing-on-the-skin vibes ... it gets particularly barnacle-happy around the crotch (which I guess is a modesty-saver) ... ooh, and zoom in and her skin looks all 'cracked'. Eww.

THE BAD: While I'm a fan of her vampy dark lip, this Dior dress isn't doing great things to Jennifer Lawrence - it's very Victorian widow down below and Nancy from The Craft up top (there also seems to be a zip that stops just at boob level - can you imagine if that sucker caught? Just thinking about it makes my shoulders reflexively hunch in an attempt to protect the ladies).
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE BAD: My eyes! Check Katy Perry squinting ... blinded by the fugness of this ill-cut monstrosity (which I imagine is really uncomfortably sweat-inducing).
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE BAD: Mosquito nets and then feathers for sleeves - come on Khloe Kardashian, you're my favourite of the Armenian-media-mafia ... you can do better (although you're possibly not Armenian - seriously, Google 'real dad Khloe hairdresser' mmmhmmm).
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: I love me a good calf-length dress, and Allison Williams owns this lacquer-tweed (odd combo, yes) L'Wren Scott dress. It's like First Lady meets Madonna, and I love it.
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: I would not change a single thing about this Vivienne Westwood gown on Amy Adams - I love the colour on her (lady rocks a jewel tone like no other); I'm obsessed with those Irene Neuwirth earrings and her natural hair and makeup is my beauty look of the week.
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: Oh my freaking lord, Maddox is a teenager?! I think this may officially mean I now need to start using eye cream ... that aside (seriously, look, he has facial hair ... I remember when he was just a baby!) Angelina Jolie looks lovely in this Atelier Versace gown. Others said it was too 'voluminous' and not 'dramatic' enough on her - but that's actually why I like it. The layers and ruching flatter her willowy figure (although I would love it if this was in a different colour ... maybe a teal or a pure red).
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: And here's Emma Stone showing that having style isn't just a matter of slapping on an Elie Saab evening gown. I love her gathered-cuff Band Of Outsiders trou' and have already Googled those Oliver Peoples 'Alivia' shades to see if I can afford them (eating's overrated, right?). She's like Diane Keaton but-a-twenty-something (and look at her and Garfield being so adorable. Aww... you guys!).
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: While she does look like she's been attacked by a tube of Touche Eclat, there's no denying Helen Mirren looks at her elegant best in this Bruce Oldfield black dress, pink satin bolero combo.
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: This is probably my favourite super-sheer, illusion-panels dress that's appeared on the red carpet yet (and there have certainly been plenty). I think the fact that the panels on the Nicholas Oakwell dress are quite substantial helps ... and Jena looks gorgeous in both gold and off-white ... oh, and her brows are banging. The little girl from Stepmom's all grown up!
Best & worst dressed: November 22
THE GOOD: This is my favourite Dior look on Jennifer Lawrence so far (which isn't really saying a great deal): I like the sharp structure, I like that she looks comfortable ... I do, however, find that sequin crop circle a touch distracting (it's almost like an unfortunate ironing accident if you look at it too quickly - my cavalier attitude towards the temperature dial and general laziness at filling up the water means I've had my fair share of those).

WILD CARD: While I don't love this - it's giving me Qatari Queen Amidala vibes - I do feel like Miley Cyrus is looking quite Tilda Swinton in this vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown, and that deserves some respect.

This week there were too many options to choose from, so we just put them all in!

We haven't touched upon the majority of the looks from The Hunger Games LA premiere, as they're all covered here.
