Miranda Kerr's style icon is her grandmother.

The 30-year-old model has spoken about her close relationship with 77-year-old Ann in the past, revealing her grandmother advised her to wear make-up and pretty lingerie to keep a man interested.

She's now revealed the impact Ann's sense of style has had on her.

"My grandma has great style and really influenced me. The one thing that stayed with me was that fashion doesn't need to be expensive or complicated - just worn with grace and confidence," Miranda told new fashion magazine Clique.

The model was quizzed about her style secrets by the publication and explained that many of her fashion loves have been with her since she was a child.

Now she is a mother too, sharing two-year-old son Flynn with her estranged husband Orlando Bloom.

Although she still cares about her appearance, her fashion sense has changed since she welcomed the little boy into the world.

"My style has definitely become a little more relaxed," she explained. "Two-year-olds keep you very busy so my collection of flat shoes is definitely growing."

Flynn has taught Miranda what is important in life, which is family. She is making every effort to be with him as much as possible and has relaxed her schedule so she can be more present, perhaps why she is no longer a Victoria's Secret Angel.

"Since becoming a mother, I've re-evaluated my priorities and scheduled my work more efficiently to ensure my son is now my priority. When I get home after work or have a day off, I make a concerted effort to switch off and be present in the moment with him," she said.
