Time magazine's best & worst
WORST: Worn during her performance at the 2013 MTV VMA Awards, miley's nude bikini certainly had people talking, but not in a good way.

BETTER: There really was only one way Miley could go from there - she surprised everyone by looking stunning in this sophisticated Marc Jacobs aqua number.

BEST: J-Law took the top prize from Time magazine with this beautiful, show-stopping Dior Couture gown. She may have taken a tumble on the night, but the dress is fit for a princess.

GOOD: Speaking of princesses, Kate Middleton was praised for showing off her baby bump in this pretty Emilia Wickstead dress - she even somehow pulled off the dreaded blue eyeshadow.

BAD: Kim Kardashian's choice of pregnancy red carpet attire wasn't so choice, in fact it was a complete fail. There really is nothing to say except - what the heck was she thinking?!

BAD: When you hear 'pink' and 'Prada' in the same sentence, you imagine something feminine yet modern and just downright heavenly. Well, it turns out your imagination ain't so reliable! Anne Hathaway was a downright disappointment in this ill-fitting, bore-inducing dress.

Miley Cyrus is among the best and worst dressed celebrities of 2013 according to Time magazine.

In the annual list compiled by the publication, Miley placed in the top ten for best dressed and took the crown for the worst dressed.

The Wrecking Ball singer's worst dressed moment came when she took to the stage with Robin Thicke at this year's MTV VMAs.

Wearing a nude two-piece bikini combination, the outfit was at first hidden beneath a furry onesie. It was accessorised with garish red lipstick and a foam finger that she provocatively placed around her body.

But the 21-year-old star redeemed her fashion credentials and looked demure and serene in a Marc Jacobs gown. The slinky aqua dress was worn at FGI's 30th Annual Night Of Stars Gala where she presented Marc with the Superstar Award.

The best dressed accolade went to Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, who stunned with the gown she wore to the Academy Awards.

Her powder pink, floor length Dior Couture gown channelled old school Hollywood glamour. The simple silver box clutch and minimal jewellery added even more sophistication.

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge came second, with her Emilia Wickstead pale blue dress making a fashion statement when she first showed off her baby bump earlier this year.

Behind Miley on the opposite end of the scale was Kim Kardashian whose floral Givenchy dress for the Met Gala earned her second place on the worst dressed list.

Anne Hathaway's pink Prada dress that she wore to the Oscars was a close third.

Justin Bieber, Florence Welch and Julianne Hough also made the worst dressed list.
