Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE GREAT: Lovely hair, cute Osman dress (can some NZ high street retailers please craft something similar soon?), lovely bright pink lippie, cool Bionda Castana shoes - Ahna O'Reilly is a woman that knows how to piece together an outfit.

THE MEH: If this Calvin Klein collection dress was in a topaz blue, a forest green (or even radiant orchid) it would be kind of fabulous. The lesson learned is that if you wear leather the exact colour of your skin as Allison Williams has here you will look more in-your-body-stocking-ready-to-have-your-alien-prosthetic-applied-for-a-Ridley-Scott-film than you will red-carpet-ready.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE MEH: I like Angie Harmon's Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2013 dress - it's very 'girl on fire' - but this is a case of death by accessory. Ditch a cuff, take off the black stockings and we'd have something good on our hands.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE GREAT: She's my favourite Kardashian - but let's just block out the X Factor hosting episode - and I think Khloe looks amazing here. She's rocking the ombre, her pins look ferociously good and that A.L.C dress is refreshingly not-body-con-like. The simplicity of the dress and the classy clutch means she also totally 'werks' those Gianvito Rossi white-capped PVC pumps. Babe.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE GOOD: While she had some serious Samantha-in-Sex-And-The-City nipple points from some angles, Kim Kardashian still looks beautiful in this silk Lanvin dress and Max Mara coat. A) Mustard is an underrated colour. B) Kim looks at her best when working an Old-Hollywood aesthetic.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE FINE: I actually can't help but like Kris Jenner - she's unabashedly, unashamedly evil, and I love her for it (also, I interviewed her once, and she was actually LOL-funny and she offered me a slice of truffle pizza: woman knows the way to my heart). All that said, if you're going to wear a Chanel coat just either a) make sure it doesn't bulge open when buttoned or b) not button it. That simple.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE FINE: Each element of the lovely Mandy Moore's outfit is fine, but overall it's a touch too try-hard matchy-matchy. I also can't decide if these Jimmy Choo Lekker pumps are a work of art or actually just the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. Thoughts?
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE GOOD: While she needs to put that handbag away, Maria Shriver's dress is perfectly lovely - and check out her finger bling. I'm coming over all magpie and can't stop staring at all the shininess!
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE GOOD: Naya Rivera's face continues to alarm me - I really truly do think she's morphing into Kim Kardashian - but I do love her grey tweed Michael Kors skirt. And while her fiance Big Sean wins best smile of the night, his patterned pants are unacceptable.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE MEH: Each individual element in Molly Sims' outfit is lovely - but, while one voluminous element in an outfit is fresh, three makes it clownish.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE GOOD: Nikki Reed pairs all black accessories with this gorgeous Charles Henry gown and somehow manages to not look like she's dressed up as a bumblebee for her niece's birthday party. Pro.
Best & worst: Hollywood Reporter party
THE MEH: While her jumpsuit is fine, and I do like that belt, Whitney Cummings loses the hair and beauty race at this event. A) If you're going to pin back the mid-section of your hair, don't over-straighten it (you'll look like you're just pinning it back so you can wash your face). B) If you're going to bronze up the ol' fah-chay, don't forget about your poor pasty neck (we've all made this mistake. Sometimes if I put my makeup on in a darker environment I'm actually scared by my own reflection in the harsh reality of daylight, leading me to frantically swipe at my cheeks in an attempted de-bronze).

The promise of mimosas and schmoozing at the annual Hollywood Reporter's Women In Entertainment breakfast brought out a mixed collection of starlets.

When it came to the red carpet, the Kardashian clan did well - minus a small nipple issue, while some stars made very bad style choices.
