Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE MISS: We're all for injecting a touch of fashion into an awards appearance, but Kerry Washington got it all wrong with this Prada crop-top and full skirt combo. The undoubtedly stunning star chose to emphasise her burgeoning baby bump with this sack-like, awkward-length skirt which we think could've looked rather pretty if only it wasn't paired with that ill-fitting, embellished top.

THE BAD: What the heck is going on with Julia Roberts this awards season? Granted it's lovely to see the normally safe actress in something other than black and white, but this wide-legged Valentino jumpsuit just looks downright ridiculous. Agree?
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GOOD: Jane Krakowski looks stunning in this jade green Roland Mouret dress. The architecturally draped bodice does wonders for her figure and we love the touch of emerald on her earrings - definite style win!
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: Now THIS is a red carpet-worthy look. With voluminous curls, berry red lips and that beautifully cut Oscar de la Renta gown, Isla Fisher looks to die for. I love how she's managed to reference '90s glam without looking trashy, and the pop of colour on her bracelet lends a little something different to the overall look.

THE BAD: Yes, we have to say we get a bit bored with endless block-coloured gowns on the red carpet, but if you're going to take a risk - make sure you do it right. Scottish actress Rose Leslie attempted something a little different, make that a lot different, with this Temperley top and skirt combination, but it's just not working for me. While the lilac colour of the top looks wonderful on her, going sans bra was perhaps not the best option considering the circumstances. And pairing it with a loud leopard print skirt? Uuugh.

THE STRANGE: Some may call this Vionnet dress a work of art, but to be honest, all I'm seeing is a big old mess. Claire Danes has such an amazing figure it's hard to understand why she would choose a gown that does absolutely nothing to flatter it. The sheer detailing, paired with that strange, scaly, mermaid-esque blue fabric is utterly disappointing.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GOOD: Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson look so dang cute together, it's hard to say anything remotely negative. Rita looks show-stopping in that metallic silver number - the black panels down the side are genius, both comfort and looks wise I imagine, and the clutch and bracelet are a match made in heaven.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: While most mullet dresses make me feel physically ill, this beautiful Lanvin creation looks awesome on Sandra Bullock. The colour is aboslute perfection and the front slit gives her a chance to show off her enviable pins. Minimal silver accessories add just enough bling, and her hair and makeup is lovely.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE DAZZLING: Finally, J-Law has come to the party. The proverbial fashion party, that is. Now THIS is what we've all been waiting for - a Dior gown that actually flatters Miss Lawrence's beautiful figure, allowing her to look both classy and stylish. While we've seen a similar silhouette a number of times on the Hunger Games star, the exquisite multicolour sequins which add a glossy, multidimensional quality to the dress make this look stand apart from the rest. The smouldering eyes and geometric earrings are the pièce de résistance.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GOOD: It's great when actresses choose (or are put in) dresses that actually suit their body type. Case in point - Anna Gunn's athletic figure looks sensational in this beautiful Monique Lhuillier dress. Accessorised with a simple boxy clutch craftily emblazoned with the Breaking Bad logo, the only thing that could've possibly made this look better is if Anna had pulled her hair back into a simple up-do to show off those stunning earrings.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: Another blue gown, and another undisputed win. If you'd described the cut-outs on Amy Adams' gown to me before I'd seen her on the carpet, I'd be full of doubts - but the actress looks jaw-droppingly great in this Antonio Berardi number. The embellished crystal waistline, sexy split and coral lips work together to create a look that is definitely one of my faves of the event.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE DISAPPOINTING: While she normally sets the bar for understated glamour on the red carpet, Cate Blanchett let the team down with this forgettable Givenchy dress. She looks like she's tucked her inexplicably sequinned napkin into her neckline, and her makeup is just, well, dull.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE VA-VA-VOOM: While Sofia Vergara has the tendancy to look more Vegas show girl than red carpet ready - this Donna Karen Atalier dress is drop dead gorgeous on her. Yes it's glitzy, but the positioning of the sequins and structural bodice emphasise her sultry curves without being too revealing. Oh, and her bouncy waves? All I can say is that her hair stylist is certainly onto a good thing.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: Sick of us harping on about Lupita Nyong'o's impeccable taste? Well perhaps you should skip to the next look because it sure ain't stopping now. The 12 Years a Slave actress simply blew me away with this one of a kind Gucci stunner. Not only is the turquoise colour perfect on her complexion, but the floral embroidered straps are nothing short of exquisite. Normally I woudn't be a fan of teal and purple eyeshadow but hey, what do ya know - she pulls it off. Which begs the question: is there anything this girl can't wear?
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GOOD: With it's flattering assymetric neckline, striking colour and strategically placed broach - this gown looks great on the one and only Oprah.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: Talk about a fashion dream team - these two were spot on yet again. Matthew McConaughey looked suave yet playful in his patterened Dolce & Gabbana jacket, while his wife well and truly stole the show in her mustard Donna Karan Atalier creation. The draping plays up her curves, while the colour suits her down to the ground.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE WORST: I cannot even begin to fathom what Mariah was thinking when she pulled on this tacky one-shouldered mini dress for a red carpet function - does the girl really not understand what formal-wear is? Those fingerless leather gloves are giving me the creeps and the fishnets... say what?! I can't even...
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: Damn Malin Akerman has been stepping up her game lately - the actress looks stunning in this earthy, beaded Naeem Khan gown. Sitting somewhere between tribal and art deco-inspired, this dress is a visual masterpiece and it works perfectly on her. Paired with a messy up-do, bronze makeup and nude lips, I'm loving it.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE ODD CHOICE: 82-year-old Rita Moreno certainly isn't afraid to ruffle a few fashion feathers, but I'm not sure her risk has really paid off. Yes, it's great to see a woman of her generation having some fun on the red carpet, but what with the studs, shoulder pads, oriental-inspired skirt, skinny leather belt and structured gold bag it's just all too much.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GOOD: New Girl star Hanna Simone looks simply radiant in this delicate Marchesa gown. The pastel hue, cinched in waist and chiffon flowers around the neckline are just so pretty, and her elegant up-do works a treat.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE GREAT: Can I just say something to Helen Mirren's stylist - whatever you're doing, please do not ever stop. Once again the 68-year-old actress looks fabulous on the carpet. The incredibly unique beading and embroidery are a highlight of this Escada gown, but the wide sash, voluminous skirt and long sleeves contribute to its overall perfection. With slicked back hair, chandelier earrings and red lips - Mirren is elegance personified.
Best & Worst: SAG Awards
THE BAD: Feel like Amanda Peet looks completely awkward on the red carpet? Well, you're not the only one. Every part of this outfit just feel a little off to me - from the midi skirt and sleeve length to the cheap looking metallic leaves? attached higgledy-piggledy to the skirt, it's all just very, very odd.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards, otherwise known as the SAGs, play host to one of the best red carpets of the season and the stars did not disappoint.

J-Law, Sandra and Lupita stun while Mariah, Kerry and Julia miss the memo.
