At NYFW with a top Kiwi model
"Dion Lee is an Australian Designer so I was invited for being a Down-Under kid. This cross-waisted dress is amazing."
"There were lots of Aussies at Dion Lee who are based in NY and important in the fashion scene like Nicole Trunfio [pictured] and actress Phoebe Tonkins from the Vampire Diaries. The show was held at Milk Studios, which is where a lot of campaigns are shot in New York and which always has fun parties."
"Here's the finale of Dion Lee. There were lots of warrior looks and easy-to-wear dresses."
"Charlotte Ronson's Show was held in the Hudson Hotel with SOOO many people it got crazy crowded inside. The collection was beautiful and she chose cool models to fit her brand. I got to meet Charlotte backstage and congratulate her. She always loans me dresses for the red carpet and she is one of the coolest designers whose clothes are young and edgy but still wearable and pretty with good fabrics. Her brother Mark Ronson was nowhere to be found."
"I sat front row at the Leila Shams show with the amazing Sports Illustrated model Julie Henderson and the charming singer Lily Lane. Love those girls."
"Front row for Leila Shams wearing her signature leather zip off jacket."
"The Leila Shams show was in the sanctuary of the Highline Hotel which used to be an old monastery. The collection was awesome and showcased Leila's use of hippy colours with tie-dye, sequins and fur. It was really playful and embellished but she always makes sure to show a good feminine form. I love her clothes and really admire her: she just had a baby five days before her NY Fashion Week show. Go girl!"
"Here's me in Charlotte Ronson at the Modelinia Party: it was at the beautiful restaurant/club Harlow in Uptown NY. All sorts of fashion industry professionals were there, from bookers to designers to models to press. It was a fun party and there was a social media wall where everyone got their photo taken for the Daily Front Row."
"One of the coolest things I did was meeting the team from Google at the Modelinia party and trying the Google glasses which are like a hovering field of information in the top right-hand corner of your vision. You say "Okay Glass" and it activates and you can tell it what to do "take picture" or "google abcdefg" and there is a touch pad on the side to scroll down. It probably wont be useful yet, but it's going to be amazing in a few years."
"The Guess Party was based on 'The Road to Nashville' and they had a fashion show with very sexy 'cowboy/cowgirl' styling. There were many familiar fashion faces there as well as the hot couple actress Kate Bosworth and director Michael Polish."
"Here I am wearing a Guess dress at their red carpet. The Cold War Kids played four songs after the fashion show that night, including my favourite song Hang Me Up To Dry, which was a real crowd pleaser."
