Models Instagram backstage moments
THE JOKER: A regular on Aussie runways since 2011, Perth girl Rachael Grasso is known for her quirky backstage personality. Check those spec-lashes... fabulous.
SNACK TIME: Australia's Next Top Model Alums Shanali Martin and Abbie Weir chow down on a hearty breakfast before a big day of shows.
DENIM ON DENIM: She's a photographer, stylist and most definitely one of the standout models of the event - Ivana Martyn (centre) knows how to work it.
MODEL INSPO: A model who isn't afraid to pull wacko faces is a winner in our books. 17-year-old Sapphire de Goede (top right and middle left) is signed with agencies in Australia, New York and Paris, has appeared in countless magazines and has the kind of piercing eyes you just can't look away from. Look out for Sapphire in an upcoming Glassons campaign. Oh, and we love the the reference to 'woot woot' time.
ALL BUSINESS: For the big-time girls, Melbourne Fashion Fest was all work and no play. Here, Sports Illustrated model and face of David Jones Jessica Gomes poses up a story for Aussie blogger Margaret Zhang of Shine by Three.
GOLDEN GIRLS: Ivana Martyn and LJ Breton decided to keep their snazzy glitter eyebrows post runway show... we can only imagine the stares!
ALL ABOUT THE HAIR: She of the pillowy lips and impossibly long lashes, aka 16-year-old Ebony Hunter, gave us a look at her awesome braids.
SHOWTIME: Rising star, Talisa Quirk poses with Abbie Weir just before they step out onto the catwalk. Quirk, a 17-year-old Queenslander, recently opened the show for Alexander McQueen during Paris Fashion Week - one to watch for sure.
BAD GIRL: Not unlike Danish supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen, Sydney beauty Lydia Collins has that cool, androgynous look the fashion scene can't seem to get enough of. Her piercings and tattoos were on full display during even the most demure shows of the week - but somehow, it worked.
OFF-DUTY: Sipping coffee, pulling goofy faces and taking selfies - all in an afternoon's work for a runway model.
LIVING STATUE: Aussie it-model Montana Cox took to the streets to promote the event. Such a beautiful dress...
DREADED UP: The Pocohontas meets Bob Marley hair for the Camilla Showcase took out the prize for coolest-but-most-difficult-to-replicate of the week.

As one of the biggest consumer-based style events in the world, the Melbourne Fashion Festival attracts the most successful names in Australian and New Zealand design.
But the high-profile labels aren't the only exciting part of the week.
The Festival is known for launching the careers of budding runway models, as well as adding to the resume of those already in the game - and this year was no different.
We've handpicked our faces to watch and ransacked their Instagram accounts to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what models really get up to between shows.
