Your (perfect) summer dress

Last updated 09:16 27/01/2012

A beautiful green box arrived at my place. Inside were five lovely dresses from Mondegreen, sent for me to play with. I used to be more of a jeans type of person, but I love the simplicity of a good dress. Perfect worn on their own with some great shoes and jewellery, or layered with tights, cardigans and coats; good for any time of year.

Wearing Mondegreen Kitten dress, with (look closely) little silver tooth necklace by my good friends at HIT the WHITE, and Meadowlark bone earrings.

For those of you who haven't come across it before, Mondegreen is a Wellington-based company that designs its own clothing collection, and also stocks gorgeous jewellery and homewares from all over the world. They only sell online (though a select few of their dresses sell at Goodness in Wellington as well), but the online store is easy to use and wonderfully straightforward. You can buy, try on and return with ease if things don't fit.

The dresses I'm playing in are from the current summer collection; and what better place to photograph such pretty clothes than the botanic gardens? And - don't smirk - but for once I couldn't be silly. Truly! The dresses are just too lovely!

I love the Raggedy Ann bottom of the Kitten dress!

The Hummingbird dress.

And my favourite - the Sunshine dress. Isn't the print amazing? It reminds my of a Dries van Noten print from a couple of seasons ago.

I have to show you my sweet new horse bracelet - a late Christmas gift - by Penny Foggo. And yes, it's real bone!

The Twinkle dress I wore with just a lace skirt and bra, but it's perfect for layering.

How much do you love these dresses? A lot, I hope, because Mondegreen are letting me give one away! And the best bit is, you get to choose it! How to enter? Pop on over to the Mondegreen website and choose your favourite dress, then head back here and tell me which one you'd love in the comments down below.

I will draw the winner next week.

Good luck and happy Friday!

These dresses are to die for! I especially love the Angelface dresses, but I couldnt possibly decide between Ink Blot and Muscat! I do think the Muscat one would suit the wedding I am going to in the Wairarapa next month! Love that you are showcasing local talent. More serious photos of you too - you look stunning!

Sparkle in Gradient Rose Print - it is really hard to choose a favourite but this would be gorgeous in summer and winter.
