Cheap and trendy shoes you'll love

Last updated 10:10 30/07/2012

Because face it, you love a bargain. Yes you, sitting there squinting at your little screen, I know you. And you know what? As much as I love me a designer shoe that maxes out the ol' credit card, me loves even more sweet shoes that look pricey but fool everyone. There's a certain fist-pumping cat-got-the-cream attitude that washes over you when your someone whose style you envy coos enviously at your feet and gushes "Oooooh, I looove your shoes." And you can say "Thanks" and laugh secretly inside your belly and know they only cost you fifty bucks. Or less. Because these shoes really do.

Remember Number One Shoe Warehouse? They've dropped the "Warehouse" bit and are sizing themselves up as more trendy than your designer pot plant (but don't worry, they still do horrible school shoes too). Last week I got to peek at the new spring collection, and I grabbed some and ran for the door really quickly before they could catch me so that I could share them with you. I think they're the shizzle. You might too.

I took Sam my photographer and my shoes and me for a walk. We found some flowers. And then I realised how uncannily like this collection these shoes are:

Adorable huh? And so started a pattern...

I took these sexy mamas for a walk. Ankle tassels not included, but I agree with Ultimate Warrior that a tassel or two makes everything better:

wrestler

Knee pads and crotch padding optional.

And if you weren't aware that neon is so-hot-right-now then you need a smack around the ears because even the sea anemone at the museum knows it.

No but really guys, less wrestling and more fashion, eh?

Time for a bit of a tribal moment. With "borrowed" flowers from the dairy...

And what's a spring shoe collection without a dose of the ubiquitous metallic trend?

And I know I need a pedicure. And a razor, but don't hold it against me. There are a million more styles to choose from with more arriving over the next few weeks, but you'll have to pop into the store to see them all because there are only so many awkward feet manoeuvres I can do before my feet threaten to fall off.

So which is your fav?

Now how am I supposed to stay away from buying shoes when they are that fabulous and cheap to boot!

I LOVE the blue ones, shame I have a broken foot and I'm not allowed to wear heels :(

/screech!/ those purple suede wedges I DIE. And those black and neon ones aren't too bad either. I'm a bit on the fence with tribal patterns and the whole shiny metalic thing too but! Will def. be having a geez at el numero uno on payday.

My questions is: are they more comfortable? I have bought many a pair of No. Ones but they have never really got beyond the maiden voyage. Torn up feet are not so cool.

Oh those tribal-style wedges are CUTE! The are summer-tastic. Who doesn't love Number One Shoes though - I got some very cheap nude pumps there last week that make me feel like Kate Middleton (or her poorer cousin). I also like how you can get shoes there that are almost identical to more expensive versions elsewhere. They might not have the longevity factor, but that's not always what we're after.

Argh! I bought some similar to the blue/purple wedges a couple of weeks ago....the aqua/purple/orange heels from that range...LOVE love love them! And oh so insanely comfy (which the credit card crushing ones are not). I was so excited I had to wear them out of the store and on the rest of my shopping trip.

I love funky shoes more than anything (I'm even one of those weird people that wears heels when walking the dogs).

All very well if you have nice long slender feet (with or without pedicure!) but for those of us with feet as wide as they are long, it's the choice that's slender - and what there is is expensive.... Any chance of a where to get cheap, 2xwide trendy shoes column coming up???

Ahhh I really want pretty new shoes now! Also, you have ridiculously good looking feet.

Ooooh, so pretty! I love the light blue wedges in the first photo, and the red ones! :) Do you know when these will be in stores?

Where did you get your ankle bracelets, are they Sabens or copies?
