Furry Friday: 29 dogs that change lives

Frank's ears and hopes are up - surely it's time for a walk?

Frank's ears and hopes are up - surely it's time for a walk?

When I see a loved, well cared-for dog, I know one thing for sure before I know anything else about that dog's story. I know that the dog is changing someone's life. And always for the better - because that's what dogs do.

So I can show you photos today of 29 dogs and confidently label each of them a life-changer. Because at least one person, and often many more, have adjusted their routines and their thinking and their priorities to share their lives with that dog. Then, each dog repays those shifts by brightening and lightening every day of those people's lives. It's a wonderful deal.

Scroll and enjoy - and make sure to leave a comment, because I have prizes!

On May 4, the hit movie A Dog's Purpose* reaches New Zealand screens, and the promoters have made five double-passes available to Four Legs Good readers. I'll pick five comments at random, from here on Stuff or on the 4LG Facebook page, as winners. Check out the movie's trailer here

Thanks to all for sharing pictures. Please email me your own pet photos, or go to the Four Legs Good Facebook page and use the Upload Photo button. Help keep Furry Friday free of embarrassing mistakes by remembering to include your pet's name, and its sex if it's not obvious! Follow the daily photos of #connorandphoebe on Instagram.

* There was controversy about A Dog's Purpose a few months ago - poor treatment of a dog was alleged and supposedly depicted in a film clip. But an inquiry reported by the American Humane Association found that the clip was misleadingly edited and that no animals were harmed.
