The colour schemes you chose for your rooms can influence the whole ambiance of your house.

The right mix can influence the way you feel, behave and the way others see your house, says Susanne Engelhard of Susanne Louise design.

"You need to make sure all of the colours work in together," she says.

It is also important to keep up with trends and enjoy the decorating process Trevor Rogers of First Impact says.
