Inside Jennifer Hawkins' love nest
Ever wondered how a former Miss Universe lives? Well, wonder no more. Jennifer Hawkins and husband Jake Wall have put their North Curl Curl pad on the market, giving us a glimpse at the luxury they're trading in.
The couple's secluded Northern Sydney home is perched above the ocean with gorgeous views and is also the perfect place for a party.
With a pool, outdoor kitchen, home theatre and a walk-in wardrobe fit for a model, the house can be yours, if you can part with at least $AU4 million ($NZ4.3million) that is.
The couple built the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home on what used to be a tennis court, after buying the headland lot for $1,375,000 in 2010.
They enlisted architect Koichi Takada to take advantage of the idyllic setting and included balcony access for all the bedrooms and a generous outdoor dining and entertaining area.
The three-storey house has folding glass walls so the stunning ocean views can be enjoyed from inside as well as outside.
It is perfect for parties and relaxing, thanks to the open-plan design and well-considered outdoor spaces.
The definite stand out is Hawkins' walk-in wardrobe, featuring a wall covered by more than 100 pairs of shoes.
"The shoe wall is very special," she told the Daily Telegraph. "The shoes look like pieces of art.''
All the interiors are impeccably styled, mixing earthy, natural tones and textures with bright pops of colour from artworks and cushions.
Interior designer Darren Palmer says Hawkins had a very clear idea about what she wanted.
"Jennifer has a very clear sense of style and a focused direction on what she wanted to achieve for the interiors of their home," writes Palmer on his website. "I was merely on hand to make their imaginings a reality."
It was a good thing she knew what she liked; the interior was pulled together in a month for a photoshoot with OK magazine in 2012.
Hawkins and Wall, who have been married a year, have begun working on another Takada-designed home slightly further south after spending three years building the gorgeous pad.
"We set out to create a relaxed resort lifestyle, which we have achieved with this home,'' Wall told News Corp.
The 30-year-old face of Myer won't be moving too far away, however.
"We both enjoy being by the water," Hawkins said. "It brings a certain calmness.''
Hawkins reportedly owns six properties in her portfolio, according to the Daily Mail.
The property at 18 Molong Street in the Windy Drop Down gated community is listed by Belle Property.
