Paul Henry's daughter Bella Henry talks to us about the central west Auckland brick home she lives in with her boyfriend Julyan Collett.

The TV3 hair and make-up artist has an obsession with all things Disney and it began when her father took to the Californian theme park as a child.

"I fell in love and started collecting Disney treasures," she says. "I've had to compromise my Disney taste living with my boyfriend and left most of these treasures in storage, however, I must always have my Disney princess mirror with me, which I keep on my dresser."

First thing you do when you get home each day:

Kick off my shoes, chuck on the slow cooker and settle down to a movie. Because I wake up in the middle of the night for work it's important to be able to come home to a nice space for down time during the day.

Best new buy:

My new condensation remover ... no more soggy newspaper.

Proudest DIY moment:

Bella's Disney-themed duvet cover.

Bella's Disney-themed duvet cover.

I just changed around the spare rooms... about as DIY as I get. Pretty lucky I have a handy man in my life!

Favourite spot to relax:

I'm most relaxed when playing around with makeup so I've devoted a corner of my room to this.

Best kept secret about the area you live in:

The good lolly selection at the local dairy and the cheapest fish and chips.

Best money I ever spent on the house:

All the little things that make my house a home: new grey rugs, plants and candles are my faves.

Favourite way of entertaining:

Whip up a new slow cooker meal, canapes and good wine at mine.

Best kitchen tool and why:

Slow cooker... as above.

I can't live without:

Board games... [they're] always there when the power's off.

Favourite piece of furniture:

My navy couch. I was sceptical when my boyfriend wanted to move it in as it takes up half the lounge, however, I have grown to love it and often find myself falling asleep on it.

Favourite artwork or family treasure:

When I was younger my father took me to Disneyland. I fell in love and started collecting Disney treasures. I've had to compromise my Disney taste living with my boyfriend and left most of these treasures in storage, however, I must always have my Disney princess mirror with me, which I keep on my dresser.

Favourite household appliance:

Vacuum cleaner... in 15 minutes the house looks like new.

One thing I'd like to change around my house:

My house is perfect for me at the moment. There's plenty of space for me to continue to clutter.

What's your signature dish:

My special satay sauce which I like to pair with Vietnamese spring rolls.

What's your quickest dinner idea:

Hmmm apart from takeaways...pita pizza, pita bread, tomato paste, salami and chesse in the oven. Bam!

How do you feel about unannounced guests:

Out west if you're not expecting guests ... you don't answer the door.

Shoes on or off:

My boyfriend's work boots and any type of high heel off (due to beautiful wooden floors).

Favourite/least favourite household chore:

I hate cleaning the shower and taking out the rubbish. These are chores I try to make my boyfriend do.

Favourite flowers:

Flowers that are given to me.

Favourite colour combination:

Currently for my house navy, mint green and white.
