Zaha Hadid's Miami apartment on the market for $14 million
The late Zaha Hadid's sleek Miami apartment has been put on the market for $US10 million (NZ$14 million).
Located in the W Hotel on Miami's infamous South Beach, the 213 square metre apartment was redesigned by Hadid to create a large three bedroom, four bathroom home.
Hadid's redesign resulted in a minimalist style home which features a spacious ocean-front living room and terrace entertaining area, as well as a separate one-bedroom guest apartment.
The influential architect, who passed away in 2016, designed many award-winning buildings around the world, including the aquatics centre for the 2012 London Olympics and the Guangzhou Opera House in China.
The home is furnished with bespoke pieces that were designed by the architect herself. For additional cost, potential buyers can purchase these furnishings as well and keep them exactly how Hadid left them.
Listing agent Rex Hamilton described the sale as "an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a collector."
"When looking at the objects she selected for her apartment, one gets a sense that they were created especially and exactly for here - in particular the dining room table and its cocktail table twin which dramatically capture the tropical sunshine from the terraces," Hamilton said.
