Stressed about exams? Go eat some ice cream.

No-one really likes homework but we think most people would enjoy the assignment Jenny Thom handed out last week.

Worried that her students would spend the weekend stressing about exams, the UK primary school teacher instructed her students to use their time wisely - by having fun.

Thom handed out a list of 17 "homework activities" to her 10- and 11-year-old students that included "eat ice cream", "see friends" and "laugh until your tummy hurts", reports TES.

In the note, released on Friday, Thom praised the students for their hard work and said she "couldn't be more proud" of them.

"Remember - Mrs Thom is in charge of worrying — you don't need to," she wrote.

The letter has been shared more than 60,000 times on Facebook with Thom getting plenty of praise of her own.
