THE AD: The Fathers4Justice ad.

Kate Winslet is threatening to sue a UK based men's rights advocacy group, Fathers4Justice after the group created an ad that accuses the actress of keeping their father out of their lives.

The ad was in response to Winslet's interview with Vogue magazine in which she responded to questions about her divorces (2), marriages (3) and I presume the fact that people can't get over the fact that she has three children to three different fathers.

The particular quote that attracted the ire of the Fathers4Justice group was Winslet talking about her custody arrangements with her children.

Despite each having a different dad, her children "don't go from pillar to post ... flown here and there with nannies." "None of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads," she said, "My children live with me. That is it."

"Kate, every child deserves their father this Christmas," read the Fathers4Justice ad along with a photograph of Winslet.

The ad was sufficiently offensive enough for Winslet to threaten legal action, with the UK Telegraph reporting that the actress's solicitors have issued the group a legal letter - labelling the ad "misleading and defamatory,"

The ad is offensive in many ways, mostly in the fact that none of us have any idea what Kate Winslet's personal life and parenting arrangements are like.

Something that Winslet's ex-husband Sam Mendes whole-heartedly agrees with. He told the UK's Daily Mirror

"Whilst I fully support fathers' rights, I can happily state this has never been a concern for me or my son."
