British Open champion Rory McIlroy may have a new lady in his life to celebrate his victory with.
The 25-year-old golfer is rumoured to be dating the Irish actress, singer and lingerie model Nadia Forde, and there are reports she might have been the boost he needed to help him win the Open.
The two were first introduced by mutual friends last year, according to the Belfast Telegraph, when McIlroy was still engaged to Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.
Since splitting from Wozniacki earlier this year McIlroy and Forde have reportedly become much closer.
The Irish golfer apparently missed a practice session before the Open because he went to visit Forde after she was in a car accident. Her car flipped six times in the accident, but she managed to escape serious injury.
McIlroy said after the crash it was a scary time.
''If anyone is involved in a car crash you are glad to see they are okay but yeah, obviously, it was a pretty scary incident,'' he said, according to the Daily Mail.
After the crash, the model thanked her Instagram followers for all their support.
''I'm fine ... nothing a few hugs and hot chocolates won't fix,'' she wrote.
Forde and McIlroy were also seen leaving a nightclub in Dublin in the wee hours of a morning last month.
However, friends of the golfer have denied the relationship rumours, telling the Belfast Telegraph Forde is ''just not his type'' and they are just friends.
''Rory and Nadia have been in the same group on nights out a couple of times but they are not dating and they won't be,'' the friend told the Irish newspaper.
''He thinks she is lovely but she's just not his type, he loves sporty girls. He's not looking for a girlfriend anyway.''
Forde herself has publicly denied the rumours as well, telling the newspaper she does not even have his phone number.
''My love life is pretty non-existent at the moment and that's fine, it's not my top priority,'' she said.
When asked if she had anything to do with the golfer's spilt with Wozniacki, the model gave an even firmer answer.
''Stop, you're being bold now. We're mutual friends, that's it.''
McIlroy broke up with Wozniacki just after they had sent out their wedding invitations in May, calling off their planned November nuptials in New York.
The golfer proposed to Wozniacki in Sydney on New Years, with the Belfast Telegraph reporting the pressure from Wozniacki to get married quickly was simply too much.
''The problem is mine. The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realise that I wasn't ready for all that marriage entails,'' McIlroy said in a statement following the split.
He said, however, the decision was mutual.
''Obviously it's quite a difficult time for Caroline and myself,'' McIlroy said. ''It was mutual and amicable and we both thought it was the best for us, the best for both of us.''
Since separating both their careers have surged, with Wozniacki winning the Istanbul Cup on the same day McIlroy managed to claim victory in the British Open.
The tennis star, who is four centimetres taller than McIlroy, posted a thinly veiled swipe at her ex recently on Instagram.
The leggy 24-year-old posted a picture on Instagram of herself wearing a dress and platform heels while out shopping with a friend.
Wozniacki, who first started dating McIlroy in 2011, captioned the image: ''Out and about in Istanbul. It's been 3 years since I have worn heels on a normal day out. #feelsgood #looksgood #shopping #highheels #sun.''
