Gentlemen, take note: Here is a model proposal - admittedly for a model girlfriend - that would undoubtedly sweep any girl off her feet.

In an elaborate stunt to get his Swedish model girlfriend Tess Montgomery on an Italian island so he could propose, British club rugby star Garth Chamberlain arranged a fake booking through her agency.

Montgomery flew in to Favignana thinking she had a photo shoot arranged, but when she arrived at the hotel she was given an iPad.

The past three years of her life with Chamberlain flashed before her eyes, then she realised he had also made the 1600-kilometre journey to the island - and she broke down.

With this amount of forward planning, Chamberlain had also - thankfully for the rest of us - fitted the hotel with cameras and filmed the entire journey, from asking her parents for permission, to getting down on one knee.
