Love & Sex
The hows and whys of human attraction are hard to pin down, but a new study has attempted to answer some intriguing questions by focusing on first impressions.
According to the results of the study, which just happens to be by an international eye-drops manufacturer, the age-old belief that men notice a woman's figure before anything else, has been proved wrong.
When meeting for the first time, the majority of men notice a woman's eyes first, followed by her smile - and then her boobs.
As many as 70 per cent of the 1000 men who took part in the study revealed they look at a woman's eyes first.
Interesting statistics, but of course the rankings would be sure to change dramatically if the man was faced with a woman wearing a cleavage-baring ensemble like this.
On the flipside, woman also ranked eyes and smiles as the first two features they notice in a man, with height following close behind.
Both sexes named hair as the fourth-most important feature when making first impressions.
Perhaps men and women are more alike than many would have us believe.
So, does this survey actually provide us with an insight into human activity, or is it just a cheeky ploy to sell more optical products?
You tell us.
Which features of the opposite sex do you notice first when meeting someone for the first time?
