Sex-starved parents, here's an app to help you
We get it, you're frustrated, and not because your childcare rebate just ran out. Getting down to it in the bedroom with your significant other is a whole lot tricker these days, what with babies waking at just the wrong moment and toddlers and kids bursting through the bedroom door.
What if we told you that technology can come to the rescue, and not just by shoving an iPad in their hands and hoping for the best?
It's called The Extendables and it's here to save your sex life. Condom company Four Seasons has produced a muppet-esque show for kids that's run via an app on your phone... and it can tell you when they've walked away from the device. It can also be extended an extra five minutes, many times over so you can get down for just the right amount of time.
Put your kids in front of a smart tv, tablet or smartphone and pair your device to it using a code. The camera becomes a motion detector that will tell the app when kids have moved away from the screen and alert you and your partner in the bedroom. Rest assured no visual data is shared, received or saved by the programme.
The show and app were made after the company found one third of parents feared being interrupted during sex and that 73 per cent of responders had been caught in the act by their kids.
Here's a hilarious rundown on how it works.
The app and show are available at The Extendables website. Here's the chance you never knew you needed, to rekindle the sex life you once had before you reproduced.
Would you use an app to reclaim sexy time with your partner? Give it a whirl; it will probably work at least once before they get wise and hunt you down, just like they've always done.
