Amber Renee Murphy is an dance inspiration for pregnant women everywhere.

A Kiwi woman has demonstrated an unconventional method for enduring labour pains.

Amber Renee Murphy performed the The Baby Momma Dance, made famous by American musician Cameron J, on camera ahead of giving birth at Waikato Hospital.

Murphy's Facebook profile says she studied performance and song-writing at Wintec.

She apparently picked up some dance moves in the course of her studies.

In the clip, Murphy is wearing a loose-fitting striped dress as she rubs her belly and twerks around the birthing suite to lyrics such as "preggo but I'm still doing moves like Beyonce" with an IV drip in her arm.

The video, which has been viewed more than 15 million times on Facebook since it was uploaded on December 27, has won Murphy praise for her pre-birth party moves.

"She's better than most girls that aren't pregnant," wrote one commenter.
