THE VERY HER: Our girl Lorde rocked a long-sleeved satin dress (#brave. I don't go near satin) which her hairstylist hashtagged as Balenciaga, so I'm guessing she opted for the French fashion house. I love her hair, love her makeup and while the dress is not to my taste, it's 100 per cent Lorde's personal style and that's cool (you should have seen the atrocities I wore at 17).
THE DAZZLING: Finally, J-Law has come to the party. The proverbial fashion party, that is. Now THIS is what we've all been waiting for - a Dior gown that actually flatters Miss Lawrence's beautiful figure, allowing her to look both classy and stylish. While we've seen a similar silhouette a number of times on the Hunger Games star, the exquisite multicolour sequins which add a glossy, multidimensional quality to the dress make this look stand apart from the rest. The smouldering eyes and geometric earrings are the pièce de résistance.
THE BEST: How does Ashley Madekwe make a full-on Monique Lhuillier gown look so effortless? 'Oh this old thing?'. She's the master (well, mistress) of subtle accessories. Love it.

THE BEST: This custom-made white silk crepe Ralph Russo gown looks like it was made for Angelina Jolie. Oh wait, it was! It's sculptural and statuesque and the best she's looked in ages (her face on the right is like, "That's right B-Listers, THIS is how you rock a peplum"). Brad could have at least found a T-shirt without holes in it to match up with his lady, although I am impressed by his floating sunnies sorcery.

1940s: Billionaire Howard Hughes created the first under wire bra crafting it out of curved, structured steel in an effort to make Jane Russell's breasts look bigger in his 1943 movie The Outlaw.
THE GOOD: While it's not even a bit punk, Jennifer Lawrence's jewel-encrusted Dior gown is old-Hollywood glam, and I think this might be the best she's ever looked (I think it's a waste she didn't go punk though, as she could have rocked it). She was joined by fellow Dior ambassador Marion Cotillard (so basically they get paid lots to wear the designs - tough job).
