This week we're obsessed with
NYREE MCFARLANE & SARAH MACKENZIE
THIS SWAPSIE: Kevin Spacey as Selina Meyer and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Frank Underwood (the former shall both haunt our nightmares and delight our dreams in the future. That is a guarantee).
THIS CONFECTIONERY: While the whole country seemed to have their knickers in a twist over the hundreds and thousands cookie flavour (personally, we just prefer the cookies) this little beauty was released by the folk at Whittaker's, and it's WAY MORE delicious. It's basically Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes encased in chocolate. Need we elaborate?
THIS CLEANSER: Finally a cleanser that's gentle enough to use around the eyes and yet effective enough that our skin actually feels clean post-wash. This NZ-made concoction is made up of almond oil, lemongrass, rosemary oil, lemon oil and carrot oil (oddly, we think it smells like lemongrass combined with tea - a lovely spa-like scent, just an unexpected one). It makes our skin feel super-soft and moisturised post-wash. We double cleanse with it and find if we do that we don't need to use any eye makeup remover as it washes all our mascara right off. New fave. $29.95 for 100ml at Earth174.com
THIS HAIR TRANSFORMATION: James Franco attacked his lovely brunette curls with a GHD and some bleach, styled it into a 'jzushed-up' bowl cut ... thus leading to his impersonation of a peak-career Aaron Carter (which means he's channeling a window of about 12 days).
SPEAKING OF HAIR ... THIS MULLET: We don't know what it's about, but we're glad that the movie Pixels is currently getting made purely for the reason that it birthed this glorious mullet. It's like Billy Ray Cyrus meets Ronnie Dunn (of Boot Scootin' Boogie fame) meets Bruce Jenner. Although we do kind of wish this was a still from the next season of Game Of Thrones - old George likes to throw in many-an-unexpected twist, and a time-travelling one-piece wearing, bleached-mullet Lannister would certainly be a doozy.
THIS STYLISH RAINWEAR: If you're anything like us, dressing for wet weather poses the ultimate dilemma... Option A: throw caution to the wind (and/or rain) and wear our gorgeous new wool number - it looks so on-trend with our heeled ankle boots after all - even if it means walking into the office smelling like wet dog after the heavens have inevitably opened. Or option B: forgo the stench and sogginess by opting for a functional, if rather ugly, waterproof number. Enter Okewa Rainwear - a new range of chic waterproof wear born out of Wellington that ticks both the sensible and stylish boxes in one garment. Check out their crowd-funding campaign here, and look out for the fab designs in stores later in the year.
THIS DISCUSSION: Behold the best video we've seen all week (and we watch a lot of YouTube) ... a baby delivering a Law & Order-worthy closing argument to a bulldog. Watch it here.
