Rock Springs Ranch in Oregon, USA is a beautiful place, which is why Michael and April Wolber picked it as their wedding spot.

However, what happend on their big day made the photos taken by photographer Josh Newton "one for the books", as he said on his Facebook page.

As the ceremony started on June 8, firetrucks pulled up to warn the wedding party that the Two Bulls bushfire was bearing down on them (yes, just like in Modern Family!).

The couple rushed through their vows in order to be able to say 'I do' in their dream spot, and then quickly moved to a backup location.

But before they did, Newton took some truly epic photos of the couple on their special day with the bushfire as the backdrop.

Certainly beats the walking-hand-in-hand-down-an-endless-road wedding photo trope.
