Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding has gone down in the history books for spawning the most "liked" Instagram photo yet, and it's no wonder considering it took four days of adjusting every aspect of the image to make it picture perfect.

Kim's shot of the couple sharing their first kiss during their much talked about wedding has amassed over 2.29 million "likes," a feat her new hubby credits to a 'certain aesthetic'.

During an appearance at the Cannes Lions advertising conference, Kanye revealed that he and Kim "worked on" their now record-breaking photo for four days before they felt it was "good enough for Instagram."

The reason "we worked on the photo so much," Yeezus revealed, was because even though photographer Annie Leibovitz "pulled out of the wedding" the day before it took place - maybe she was scared about the idea of celebrity... But I still wanted my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz.

And what Kanye wants, Kanye gets! "We sat there and worked on that photo for four days," he said. "Because the flowers were off-color and stuff like that."

"Can you imagine telling someone who wants to just Instagram a photo, who's the No. 1 person on Instagram, 'We need to work on the color of the flower wall,' or the idea that it's a Givenchy dress, and it's not about the name Givenchy, it's about the talent that is Riccardo Tisci - and how important Kim is to the internet."

The snap easily dethroned Justin Bieber as the King of Instagram, as he previously held the title of the most "liked" photo for a snap he shared of himself and on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez during one of their on-again periods.

Say what you will about Kanye's over-the-top statements, but clearly he knew what he was doing with this one.
