Kim Kardashian has been forced to cut her wedding guest list, according to a source.

The reality television star is due to marry her fiancé Kris Humphries on Saturday in a lavish ceremony.

Despite the big day being billed as an extravagant affair, Life & Style has revealed that due to space restrictions, the 30-year-old beauty has had to dis-invite 50 people from her original list.

"The fire marshal got involved," a friend of the star told the publication.

"Once the fire department learned about all the TV equipment that's going to be inside the space - the lights, the cameras and the production crew - Kim was told she had to cut the guest list by 50 people!"

The friend added that Kardashian is "being forced to call friends and tell them they can't come."

Guests who did make the cut just days prior to the big day, will toast to the newly-weds with "more than 720 bottles of Chardonnay, rosé, merlot and cabernet," the insider added.

Kardashian will wear a bespoke Vera Wang gown when she walks down the aisle in Montecito, California, this weekend. She also has four custom-designed pairs of shoes from Christian Louboutin.

Kardashian, who is renowned for her immaculate style, has been having extensive beauty preparation. The stunning star has had several consultations at Beverly Hills Nail Design to try out shades of pink polish and is testing a darker hair colour.

"Before the wedding, we plan to glaze her hair once or twice again," colourist and Goodform co-owner Rebecca Friedman revealed.

"Kim's definitely a calm bride. She's just really, really excited."
