Brooklyn Decker says her husband made her realise that being thin wasn't the most important thing.
The model-turned-actress, who rose to fame with her 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, married tennis star Andy Roddick in 2009.
"Being married to Andy has given me a new appreciation for my body," she said. "He's taught me that it's not how thin you are that matters. It's how your body performs, how it endures wear and tear."
The 25-year-old Battleship actress is a fan of outdoor exercise including running and kayaking.
"If I stop wanting to work out, then I'm going to be in some serious trouble," she told US magazine Women's Health.
She aims to run about five or six kilometres at least three times a week, and likes to turn the workout into a sight-seeing expedition.
"I really love going places without a map," she said. "When I went running in Paris, I headed for a monument or a statue that I could see off in the distance. To get back where I started, I simply used the GPS on my phone."
