Pablo Collier, known as Pumpkin, was the donkey of the day at the Donkey and Mule Society's North Island Show at Timona Park, Feilding, yesterday.
Pumpkin was judged champion gelding, champion performance donkey and supreme champion donkey in hand.
Owner Jan Mitchell, pictured, said Pumpkin won because he was "well loved and well trained".
The event is the largest donkey and mule show in the North Island, with competitors from as far away as Auckland.
