Levin told to boil water

Levin residents have been advised to boil drinking water this weekend.
The Horowhenua District Council has issued a boil water notice for residents and consumers on the town water supply in Levin and surrounding rural areas.
The notice followed heavy rainfall which had affected the performance of the water treatment plant supplying the area.
Water should be boiled until Tuesday when the council said the notice was expected to be lifted.
