Anna Guy says she's fascinated by radio after she appeared today as an ‘‘intern’’ on a Manawatu radio station show.

The sister of slain Feilding farmer Scott Guy and the estranged wife of Ewen Macdonald, the man found not guilty of the 2010 killing, first featured on More FM Manawatu’s Mike West In The Morning breakfast show.

"It was interesting to see what happens behind the scenes. It just fascinates me," she said.

"I also love the whole entertaining thing, and love making people laugh.''

Following the trial of Macdonald earlier this year, Anna said she was keen to look at a career in broadcasting or public speaking.

This morning on-air she was referred to as ‘‘intern Anna’’ doing work experience for the week.

She covered lighter fare from weather reports, entertainment news and talking about the ‘‘weekend wars’’ of listeners.

There was plenty of support from listeners for Anna on the station's Facebook page.

"Awesome! Don't think you be bossing her around, she is one strong lady!!," wrote Kim Rosewarne.

"She is an awesome lady! Have fun!" said Vikki Farley.

Anna's first stint finished just after 9am, but she will be back on air tomorrow morning and told listeners she planned to dress up for the Melbourne Cup.
