LATEST: A Levin man found missing after 24 hours in the Ohau Valley is in Levin Hospital with moderate injuries.
Levin Senior Sergeant Willie Roy said Stuart Richard Rangihuna, 39, was in a stable condition after spending the night outdoors.
Stuart Richard Rangihuna went missing after leaving a note for his wife saying he had gone for a walk to "the lake", believed to be Lake Horowhenua, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He did not return home after his walk and local police and Search and Rescue volunteers searched tracks around Lake Horowhenua and other nearby lakes yesterday.
Mr Roy said he was found in remote bush near The Trig track, several hundred metres off Denton Road, east of Levin, just before 9am this morning.
Searching had resumed in the Ohau Valley area, half an hour before he was found.
