Whanganui death not suspicious
The death of a Whanganui woman who was found in a parked car yesterday is not being treated as suspicious by police.
The body of the 46-year-old woman was found in the car on Anzac Pde near Pauls Rd, Whanganui, about 9.50am yesterday.
The discovery was made by a passerby who noticed her in the passenger seat of the car.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Kirby said today that following feedback from the public about the woman's movements before being found, police had determined the circumstances of her death were not suspicious, and thanked the public for their help.
The investigation has now been referred to the coroner.
