Not guilty plea in sexual assault case
A Palmerston North man has pleaded not guilty to raping and sexually violating a woman in the city.
Talor Nicol, 20, pleaded not guilty in the Palmerston North District Court this morning to raping and sexual violating the same woman on March 22 last year.
He was arrested and charged at the end of last month.
Defence lawyer Steve Winter said Nicol had not yet elected what kind of trial he would defend himself in.
Nicol was remanded by Judge Barbara Morris on bail until September for a case review.
