Facing cancer is the biggest challenge of many Kiwis' lives, so the Cancer Society is calling on you to take up your own challenge to support its new campaign.
The campaign, launched this week, asks participants to commit online to a challenge, such as shaving your head, running, creating an event or going without something during the month of August.
Manawatu Cancer Society fundraising leader Faye James said they were calling for businesses to commit to a challenge.
"We want people to challenge themselves because people who are diagnosed with cancer are facing the biggest challenge of their life, and this is a way to support them as they go through their cancer journey."
The Choose Your Challenge campaign was a bit different from what they usually did in the lead-up to Daffodil Day, which is on August 29, James said.
"It's all online, the money comes straight to the Cancer Society . . . and the beauty of that is you can put it out [on social media] to your friends and family in New Zealand and the world."
