Waiouru Military Camp has been placed in the hands of a new leader today as its outgoing commander sets his sights on the United Kingdom.
Colonel Evan Williams has been commander of the Headquarters Training and Doctrine Group at Waiouru Military Camp since December 2011.
He handed over the position to incoming commander Colonel James "Jim" Bliss, at a ceremony on the New Zealand Army National Marae this morning.
Bliss has been working as the director of strategic execution in Wellington.
Williams leaves to take up a position in the UK at the Defence staff college before taking up the role of Defence attache in London in November next year.
