Students' virtues will be tested at UCOL's Orientation this week, aptly themed The Seven Deadly Sins.
Slothful students took part in a blind taste-testing challenge yesterday, devouring cold spaghetti, creamed corn, and pickled onions.
Student Association marketing co-ordinator Sarah Ashford said it got very messy.
One competitor was almost disqualified after stuffing spaghetti down his top.
"They just eat anything, these students," she said.
The sins continued this morning with a gluttonous breakfast. Hundreds of students were served free baked beans, sausages, hash browns and toast.
Wrath on Wednesday is market day on campus as well as free food, music and deadly sins challenges.
Musician Laura Evans will perform during a barbecue lunch, denoting Thursday greed.
The Seven Deadly Sins challenge will once again test how far a student will go to win a prize.
Students may then be tempted by all seven sins – wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony – at the AS@U Pub Crawl at 6pm on Friday.
