Police are disappointed about the lack of response to their search for cars seen driving near Feilding farmer Scott Guy's house on the morning of his death.

Mr Guy, 31, was shot dead on the driveway of his Aorangi Rd home about 7am on July 8.

Two vehicles were seen driving along Aorangi Rd towards Campbell Rd, away from the location of Mr Guy's home, between 4.30am and 5am on July 8.

The two vehicles were seen separately during this half hour period but police do not have descriptions of them.

Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger said if the drivers of the vehicles were going about legitimate business, they needed to come forward to be eliminated from the inquiry. "The more time that goes by without these drivers coming forward the more we have to consider the movements of these vehicles as suspicious."

If you have any information phone 0800 808585 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
