A man involved in a scuffle with a police dog appeared in court sporting no obvious signs of harm from the scrap.

Palmerston North forest worker Leonard Sorenson,  37, was arrested by police about 9pm on Wednesday after being confronted by a dog handler.

In  Palmerston North District Court yesterday, Sorenson entered no plea to a burglary charge and was remanded on bail until next week.
