The old Pahiatua Hospital is alive and well again, reborn as a conference and accommodation facility, Masters Hall.

Closed down 12 years ago, the property was bought from the MidCentral District Health Board by Tina and Richard Ellis, who have spent the last four years performing the kiss of life on what had become run-down buildings.

Already tested by some cadets, trampers and equestrian groups, the centre is now open for group bookings.

Mrs Ellis says tariffs have been kept low so people can spend more time and money exploring the district's activities.
