First-year students will get advice on how to make a successful transition from the halls of residence to a flat when Massey University holds a Flatting Expo next week.
Exhibitors from 16 organisations will be on hand to talk to students living in the halls as they prepare to go flatting.
“It's a fantastic event for students to get geared up to go flatting next year. Everything is at their fingertips,” Massey assistant community manager Rebecca Reidy said.
“It's also a great chance for exhibitors to meet the students and promote what they do," she said.
Massey also has a guide to flatting - "a great little book containing hundreds of useful tips for flatting and loads of useful information from our community".
Exhibitors include Palmerston North City Council, the Fire Service, ACC, Neighbourhood Support, real estate agents and budgeting services.
The expo will be held at the students' association lounge and concourse on Wednesday at Massey's Turitea campus from 11am until 1pm.
