Gull has cut fuel prices by 7 cents a litre, which will see 91 octane petrol drop down below $2 a litre at unmanned sites.
Gull New Zealand general manager Dave Bodger said Countdown fuel vouchers would reduce the price futher at Gull's manned sites.
"Today's discount day, which starts at 7am, sees the lowest prices in the market. Just perfect for the start of the school holidays, and family road trips," he said.
The most common price at Gull sites will include $2.049 for Regular at a manned station, and will see the price of Regular at an unmanned site drop to $1.999.
The discount day starts at 7am Thursday September 27, and runs until 10am Friday September 28.
