The roof had to be cut off a car to remove its occupant after she crashed into a deep, narrow ditch west of Woodville.

Senior constable Carey Williamson said the accident happened about 3pm yesterday , when the driver of a Toyota Corona crashed on her way into Woodville, coming to a stop in a large drain on Vogel St.

The woman, 20, was unable to get out of the vehicle and the Woodville Volunteer Fire Brigade was called to cut the roof off her car to free her.

She suffered minor injuries. How the crash happened was under investigation.
