$60,000 ticket waits for owner

A Palmerston North resident is now more than $60,000 richer after winning Lotto's second division.

The winner, who bought the ticket from Melody's New World in Palmerston North, won the second division prize of $22,063 during Saturday's draw.

But an extra $46,005 was added after the correct Powerball number was picked, taking the total up to $68,068.

A total of 13 other people from Auckland, Northland, Mount Maunganui, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, Hawera, Christchurch and Timaru won second division prizes at the weekend.
