INCIDENT: Police speak with a man following an incident.

Roadblocks were put in place during an incident on Maxwells Line and College St this afternoon.

Senior Sergeant Phil Skoglund said a 29-year old man was removed from a Maxwells Line address after police were called in by someone who feared for his safety.

Police were able to make contact with the man shortly after they arrived at 12:20pm, and roads were re-opened shortly after.

The man was taken back to Palmerston North Police station.
